Description
United States Army 118th Cavalry Regiment Unit Crest (Rough Riders)
Criteria: This is the unit crest, or distinctive unit insignia, of the 118th Cavalry Regiment. This unit is part of the Arizona Army National Guard. The unit’s motto, “Rough Riders,” is written across the bottom of the design. The horseshoe is symbolic of the unit’s cavalry designation. The horse and rider commemorate the service of Captain O’Neil who was killed in action in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. The star and sunset are adapted from the flag of Arizona.
Note: Sold in pairs (i.e., if you order a quantity of 1 you will receive two Unit Crests).
